Sustainable Development Goals: SDG5 Targets and Indicators and Achieving SDG and going to Moon, Mars and Beyond

SDG5 Targets and Indicators and Achieving SDG and going to Moon, Mars and Beyond SDG5: Achieve Gender Equality and Giving women full rights at par with men, and Empowering All women and girls Let’s see what’s the impact of Pandemic on this pointer: YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/lqCwG7vsakk
1. As per our own Survey, Women were doing 4 times more work at home during Pandemic, 2. Women were handling online education of children and helping or actually doing student’s classwork behind the scenes  and helping in their home works too, because both class and home were at the same place during Pandemic, 3. Women were helping husbands in their Work From Home (WFH), 4. Women were cooking ‘more’ variety of foods at home, as everyone during pandemic and especially lockdowns were at home, 5. Thus, they were/are doing 2.5 to 3 times more work than that of men, which is certainly unpaid, 6. Pandemic is squeezing women out of labour force, as per the UN SDG Report 2021, 7. Pandemic might force 10% more child marriages that earlier projected to be 100 million in coming decade means that is population of State of Maharashtra. 8. Suggested Solution: Child Marriage is a big problem and that is why I have suggested that 12th grader should be the minimum Basic Education criteria to be called Literate and Eligible to get married because in 12th grader only children become almost 18 years age. Thus, if every child gets compulsory education, till 12th grade then only 100% literacy is possible, too. We can keep a track on each child using AADHAR/ Unique ID/ SIN/ like citizenship cards. If Pandemic and Anti Polio Vaccination can be tracked why can’t good things be tracked? Thus 100% literacy and above problems also could be solved. 9. As per the 2018 data 1/3rd of women population in the world have faced violence against them at least once in their life time. This is nonsense in the environment where we live. In fact, by God’s Grace we strictly follow, “Yatra Naryasu Pujynate, Ramante Tatra Devta!” It means, God lives with them, where people not only respect but also revere the women. Hope the world follow this norm, everywhere. 10. Ok let’s move on to Targets and Indicators of SDG5. SDG5 Targets and Indicators: Video: https://youtu.be/lqCwG7vsakk Reference: https://sdgs.un.org/goals/goal5 • Target 5.1: End All forms of violence, discrimination, negativity against ladies and girls. What are the indicators? • Indicator 5.1.1: • Legal Framework to promote non discrimination and monitor equality against any gender • Target 5.2: Eliminate all kinds of violence and exploitation against women and girls in public and in private spheres • Indicator 5.2.1: Proportion of women and girls above 15 facing any kind of physical or psychological violence in last the 12 months • Indicator 5.2.2: Proportion of women and girls above 15 facing sensual violence in last 12 months • Hope at least humans behave like humans if not ascetic, saint or god like. • Target 5.3: Eliminate all harmful and devil’s practices, such as child and early marriage, etc. • Come on, at least humans should behave as humans not as devils. • Indicator 5.3.1: Proportion of women got married under age, etc. My request is at least let them live. These are devil’s indicators or human indicators? • Indicator 5.3.2: Proportion of women faced devil animosities and atrocities … again, are these human indicators or devil indicators? • I feel ashamed as a human being while reading, speaking and expressing these points and I understand how much pain the UNO researchers and members might have felt while putting these points here. • Target 5.4: Recognising and Valuing the unpaid humanitarian work women do at home by covering as a social protection, is need of the day. Simple. • Indicator 5.4.1: Proportion of Time spent on unpaid domestic work with demographic and gender wise details. • Target 5.5: Ensuring women get equal opportunity as a decision maker in every quarter of society in family, corporate, politics, economics, and public life. • Indicator 5.5.1: Proportions of women in • In the National Parliament • In the Domestic Government • Indicator 5.5.2: Proportion of women in managerial position • Target 5.6: Ensuring women reproductive rights in accordance with the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development • Indicator 5.6.1: Proportion of women aged between aged 15 to 49 years taking their own reproductive decisions • Indicator 5.6.2: Number of countries ensure women with legal support and guarantee women 5.6.1 • Target 5.a: Faster Reforms needed on equal rights to economic resources, property, financial services, inheritance, natural resources, in according to national laws. • Indicator 5.a.1: Proportion of Agriculture Population with ownership rights for women • Indicator 5.a.2: Proportion of countries with legal framework giving women’s rights to land ownership • Target 5.b: Technology should support women empowerment especially ICT • Indicator 5.b.1: Proportion of individuals owning cell phone by gender • Target 5.c: Strengthen legal framework for gender equality for women and girls • Indicator 5.c.1: Proportion of countries with procedures and systems to keep a track on allocations for gender equality and women empowerment Final Requests: • Frankly, it’s shame that 50% population i.e. girls and women are not treated properly though they happen to be our Mother, Daughters, Grandmothers, Sisters, Wife, Aunty. So, if a woman is doing 2.5 to 3 times jobs more than man, then shouldn’t she be called nothing but Goddess? Please think over it. • Hence, we should empower women, girls, and give them rights to inheritance, share in the decision making may it be corporate, local, national government or in the United Nations. Please think over it. • Let’s make this world a better place to live for women and in fact for everyone. • In fact, Mother is the best person in everyone’s life, then why not women be given decision making rights and empowerment and respectable treatment, too? Please think over it. • Just think over it, a spaceship is travelling in space and it has 100 people in it, then, don’t you think, all of them should be the allrounders, irrespective of them being women or men? Please think over it. • Then why gender disparity? Let’s treat everyone at par. In fact, each specie each individual is equal in front of God/ Nature, then why not this theory becomes everyday practise for humans? Please think over it. • Thank you very much.
