The Heaven on earth.
It includes teething path of the University to and fro journey everyday, worth 40 kilometers/on all working days for all other years except the 365 days I went to office in the year 2011.
Few 2nd and last Saturdays of the month when we have official holidays and adjoining Sundays we went within 1000 km range, TWO WAY journey from Dehradoon. Our family went some places like Massoorie-Kempty Falls (100 km), Rishikesh-Shivpuri (100 km), Haridwar-Kankhal (120 km), Nainital-Jim Corbett National Park (800 km), Chandigarh-Shimla-Kufri (900 km) and Dhanaulti (150 km), Chakarata (140 km), Ponta Sahib-Asan dam on Yamuna (100 km), Robert Caves (30 km), Sahastradhara (30 km), etc.
We abandoned only one journey till date and that was way to Tehri Dam, just 20 km earlier, as the roads were not well maintained.
Also, we went to Badrinath and Kedarnath by hired Taxi/ Cab, hence that is not part of it.
Thanks to Almighty God for this great Himalayan Experience.
Just to add a word, have taken loans to buy this car to go to office in the sever weather conditions of Dehradun. Solid rains, solid heat, and every one is aware about the sever winters, had no options but to buy this, 'god's own vehicle' called car....
