"Points to ponder, and choosing peace over war for India and Pakistan", my childhood thoughts
I was 10+ years old, when in 1980's, India had Kapil Dev, Gavaskar, Shrikant, Mohinder Amarnath kinds of Cricket players. Pakistan had Imran Khan, Javed Miyandad, Wasim Akram, ....as a child I said, if they play together, then? India will win the world cup for coming 10 years......
Same was the case with Hockey. India had Md. Shahid, Jafar Iqbal, MP Singh, .....and Pakistan had Hasan Saradar, ....Everyone liked the idea. India+Pakistan can win the world cup, ...for 10 years....
This is just a sports consideration....imagine other skills and people come together....hope they are still relevant...
Just to tell you, the world in 2012 A.D. has spent almost 2 trillion dollars on WARS and supporting activities, only.

It takes on $135 Billion i.e. 10th of it to wipe out proverty. Also, if same are invested in human development, world can establish it's feet on Moon and Mars and can go beyond; and back on earth, it would be also, worth a place to live.
