Individuals who can speak many languages: There are millions of Hyper-polyglot in India

Great that BBC has published this news. To add to it, this pool of thought from some Indians who know many languages.

I know at least 100 in India who can speak/understand/write more than 8 languages, including myself my father, and many of my friends. In fact in India it is very common, as job places changes after every 3 years in many organizations, thus, by the time man is 50 years old he has knowledge of at least 4 languages. Ex. I speak Marathi @ Home, with Hindi Speaking we speak Hindi, in Office we speak English as an official language of learning/teaching/ working, few of my friends and my sister can speak/read/write Sanskrit and Russian. We're also been profusely reading French, German, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada, Assamese, and Telugu. Understanding Guajarati, Panjabi and Urdu/ Hindustani is very common in India due to influence of Business, commutations and of course the impact of Movies/ TV serials/commercials/soap operas/ movie songs, etc.

In fact, multi-culture, multi-lingual, tenacity to understand and stay together is what is called to be an Indian since millions of years.

Just check, in the world, more such people are increasing. People have tact to crack languages:
For Other Indian languages having more than 210000 Individual Learners Globally/ Visitors/ Month.
